Community Connections Volunteers: Onboarding and Training
We're growing a fresh, new volunteer team and need energetic and enthusiastic trainees to make it happen!
Are you seeking to have a positive impact on both people and the local environment? Of course you are! Join our ongoing efforts to connect local communities to Midpen's 27 preserves where visitors can enjoy an extensive network of trails through diverse and scenic landscapes.
Volunteers in this role attend community events, health fairs and festivals, and assist with other unique requests where they share information about the importance of caring for local landscapes and the many opportunities for outdoor enjoyment so close to home.
NOTE: While most events reach a wide audience, our current efforts focus forward with intention to connect with tomorrow's land stewards, people in underserved communities, and upcoming generations who are exploring their interests and purpose in life.
We're looking for people who are passionate about land protection and preservation, understand the personal benefits of time spent in nature and can connect with target audiences noted above. If you think this might be you, please register for this no-commitment training by clicking the green 'register' button in the upper right corner, then come check us out and help build connections!
This opportunity is being distributed to our contacts at local colleges/junior colleges and social clubs, and we appreciate you sharing this with others!
