Description

Join Midpen staff for a trail maintenance workday at Los Trancos Open Space Preserve on the Page Mill Trail, where we'll have partial cover from the summer sun. We will continue restoring the trail to its original width and repairing a hole in the tread. This is an opportunity to learn more about how we keep the trails accessible for users throughout the year. Staff will provide training on hand tool safety and guide volunteers in performing typical maintenance activities. This project is an excellent opportunity for first-time volunteers!

Project difficulty: MODERATE (about 1.5 mi of hiking with tools)

This project will require shuttling and sharing a vehicle with staff and other volunteers. Please arrive on time and be available to stay for the entire project. We have scheduled a later end time of 1:30 p.m. to allow for a bit more work.
